via Fahan, Inch & Burt Facebook

Local photographer Adam Rory Porter captures breathtaking winter scenes with snow-capped mountains reflected in Lough Swilly.

The recent cold snap brought some truly spectacular views to Inch Island and the wider Inishowen area. Local photographer Adam Rory Porter shared these stunning images on the Fahan, Inch & Burt community page, capturing the snow-dusted peaks of Muckish and Errigal reflected in the still waters of Lough Swilly.

A Photographer's Paradise

These winter scenes remind us why Inch Island and the surrounding Inishowen Peninsula attract photographers year-round. The unique position of Inch Island in Lough Swilly offers uninterrupted views across to Rathmullan and the Fanad Peninsula, with the Derryveagh Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop.

When conditions align — clear skies, still water, and fresh snow on the peaks — the results are nothing short of magical.
